Kendo practice for 2026 has finally begun.
I’m sure everyone has their own goals for this year, but I hope we can all train safely, avoid injuries, and enjoy our practice together.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the New Zealand Kendo Federation, and a special anniversary ceremony will be held in Wellington in July.
Then in November, the South Island Kendo Championship will take place in Dunedin.
We’re also planning to enter a team from the Invercargill Kendo Club.
